Monticello Raceway

Monticello Raceway is a key harness racing facility located at Routes 17 and 17-B, Raceway Road, in Monticello, New York. Monticello Raceway also has a casino that features slots and electronic table games.

Located just 90 minutes from New York City, Monticello Raceway also offers exciting casino action. The spacious gaming floor occupies one whole level and is open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm.

Races are held at Monticello Raceway all year round.

Monticello Raceway began operations on June 27, 1958. Since 1996, Monticello has steadily grown the number of outlets that simulcast its races.

Today, through Monticello Raceway's aggressive efforts to grow the number of simulcast outlets, track has more out of state outlets than all other New York harness tracks combined.

Just recently, Monticello Raceway successfully added simulcast outlets in Canada and an incremental 31 outlets in Las Vegas.

Moreover, Empire Resorts recently invested $2 million to construct a new paddock area to attract the best horses and horsemen to Monticello Raceway.

Today Monticello Raceway is one of the largest, all-weather harness racing tracks in the United States and aptly hosts the rich New York Sire Stakes.

Monticello Raceway's casino features over 1,000 slot machines, regulated by the New York State Lottery. Empire Resorts spent nearly $30 million renovating the 40,000-square-foot gaming floor in the past several years and boasts many of the same games found in the casinos of Atlantic City and Las Vegas.

The casino and entertainment complex also offers the Lava Lounge and HYPE! - featuring live entertainment and day shows.

Dining facilities inside Monticello Raceway includes the Winner's Circle Buffet, Bistro at the Terrace and the Mighty Mmmm Food Court specializing in pastries, pizza, ice cream and NY deli delights.
